Ambohimanga Rova sacred hill

The site of Ambohimanga rova located on the blue hill and surrounded by a forest is one of the 12 sacred hills of Antananarivo the most visited. In the entrance, a beautiful traditional door in laterite with a large stone disk, a palace in black rosewood cage adorned with a commemorative plate, a meeting both nature and history. This cultural heritage was founded in 1700 and the villages that did not know a big change until our days, a real simplicity quasi-deprivation. The place offers a very beautiful point of view of Ambatomiantendro or the rock that points to the sky, a rock where kings and queens played fanorona which is an emblematic Malagasy game.
