This more than one week madagascar tour named The Madagascar West tour reveals the plain of Madagascar western from Antananarivo to Morondava. You will start the west itinerary in Antananarivo that is the capital of Madagascar, passing by Antsirabe that is the coolest town before joining Miandrivazo which is one of the biggest heat wave areas of the Big Island. And then Tsiribihina cruise. You will go down for the original Tsiribihina river trip by traditional canoe or motor boat. Landscapes, warm people of Tsiribihina, camping, waterfalls, endemic wildlife that offer Tsiribihina tour. After that, the famous Tsingy of Bemaraha, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO with its karsts limestone cathedral up to 60m high will be visited. Canyons and vistas as well as its many endemic species. To finalize course, go to Morondava that is menabe’s capital passing by Sacred Baobab, Baobabs in Love and miles of Baobabs with its nice sunset.

D4/5 and 6: Miandrivazo / Belo Sur Tsiribihina / Bekopaka (Trip down Tsiribihina + 100KMS if trip by barge and+140KMS if trip by canoe) 

Transfer to Masiakampy, the embarkation point for the Tsiribihina River descent. Departure for the river tour, the original descent of the Tsiribihina River in a traditional dugout canoe, motorboat, or barge. The friendly people of the Tsiribihina are eager to meet you throughout the journey.

Begin your journey by car, heading west to reach Masiakampy, located 27 km from your starting point, where the embarkation point is located. There, begin your adventure with the original ride along the Tsiribihina River by motorboat. On this Tsiribihina trip, you will admire diverse landscapes, the Anosinampela Waterfall, cliffs, and not to mention endemic species such as lemurs, birds, crocodiles, and the local people and their cultures. Explore the surrounding natural beauty and immerse yourself in this unique experience. Take your time to visit the big village of Belo Sur Tsiribihina that is famous for providing fish. Then continue your journey on the third day around midday, reaching Bekopaka where the National Park of Tsingy of Bemaraha nests with its amazing limestone massif  of cathedrals.

D7: Visit of the NP Tsingy of Bemaraha (2x17KMS)

Departure for a visit guided of the National Park of Tsingy of Bemaraha including Big Tsingy and Litle Tsingy. The Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park offers canyons, breathtaking panoramas, climbing, hiking, as well as rich biodiversity including more than 10 species of lemurs, birds, bats, reptiles, mongooses, euphorbias, pachypodiums, and much more.

Next, make your way to the Baobabs of Love, a picturesque spot that evokes romance and the beauty of nature. Finally, end your day in an unforgettable way by visiting the stunning Avenue of the Baobabs. This majestic line of centuries-old baobabs offers a breathtaking spectacle, especially at sunset. Be amazed by the palette of colors that ignites the sky, creating a spectacular backdrop behind the imposing silhouettes of the baobabs. Ambohimanga is an ancient royal city and a symbolic center of Merina royalty. It was the residence of King Andrianampoinimerina in the 18th century, an emblematic figure in the history of Madagascar, recognized as the unifier of the Kingdom of Imerina.

Today, the site remains a major pilgrimage site for many Malagasy people. Much more than a simple historical relic, Ambohimanga remains a vibrant space, where traditional rituals such as offerings, prayers to ancestors, and various sacred ceremonies are perpetuated, testifying to the continuity of Malagasy cultural and spiritual practices.
